- Q1. Do we eat our meals in our room?
- A. We don't serve meals in guest rooms. Meals are served in the restaurant.
- Q2. Are meals served at set times?
- A. Dinner is served every 30 minutes from 17:30 to 19:30 and requires reservation. Breakfast is served in the restaurant from 7:30. The final sitting is 8:30.
- Q3. I have some special dietary requirements. Are you able to deal with these?
- A. Please let us know in advance by e-mail. You will have to leave the ingredients up to us but we will do our utmost to respond to your requirements.
- Q4. Is breakfast a buffet?
- A. Breakfast is a Japanese set meal.
- Q5. What are the check-in and check-out times?
- A. Check-in is 15:00 and check-out is 10:00.
- Q6. Do you have a left luggage service?
- A. You can leave your luggage at reception before check-in or after check-out.
- Q7. When can I use the large public bath?
- A. It is open from 6:00 to 23:00. It is closed for cleaning and inspection between 10:00 and 11:00.
- Q8. I have never used a Japanese-style public bath before. Can you tell me what to do?

* Remove your shoes or slippers before entering the changing rooms. The changing rooms have lockers which are free of charge so please feel free to use them.
* EPlease do not wear a bathing suit in the bath.
* EWash in the washing area and then use the bath. Please do not wear your towel in the bath.
* EWe provide a bathing manual for your perusal.
- Q9. When do cancellation charges apply?
- A. From one week before the date of your stay.
- Q10. May I reserve meals and private baths?
- A. I�fm afraid that we cannot accept reservations in advance. Please ask about the above when you check in.
- Q11. Do you have a complimentary shuttle service?
- A. We have a service that runs each way once a day. The pick-up leaves the east entrance of Wakayama Station at 15:30 and the front of Nankai Wakayamashi Station at 15:50. The return service leaves the hotel at 10:15 and arrives at the stations at around 11:00.
- Q12. I would like to use the complimentary shuttle service.
- A. This is only available with a reservation so please make this in advance by e-mail. Please be aware that the service leaves promptly at the stated times and will not wait. Please be on time.
- Q13. Is internet service available?
- A. A PC for guest use is available in the lobby. There is no charge so please feel free to use it at any time.
- Q14.Do you take credit cards?
- A. We accept Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay and American Express.
- Q15.Can I reserve accommodation by e-mail?
- A. Please use the official website to reserve your accommodation.
- Q16.Are there beds in the guest rooms?
- A. Our guest rooms are all Japanese-style. Futons are laid out on the tatami floor for you while you are at dinner. We do have some Western/Japanese guest rooms with bedrooms but extra charges to reserve these in particular range from \2,100 to \8,400. There is a limit to the number of these rooms so please send us an e-mail in advance if you would like to reserve one.
- Q17.If I request a Western/Japanese room, when do I pay the extra charges?
- A. These are payable in cash or by credit card when you check out.
- Q18.I would like a no-smoking room.
- A. Unfortunately, we don�ft have any no-smoking rooms. We can provide the room with an air purifier.

- Q20.How do I get to your hotel from Kansai International Airport?
- A. Use the limousine bus service from the airport to JR Wakayama Station or the city centre. It takes between 40 and 65 minutes. If you prefer to take the train, get on at JR Kansai Airport Station and then change to a train going to JR Wakayama Station at JR Hineno Station. From JR Wakayama Station, you can use our free shuttle service, the public bus service or a taxi to get to the hotel.
- Q21.How do I get to Shirahama Onsen?
- A. You can take an express bus to Shirahama from JR Wakayama Station or Nankai Wakayamashi Station. This takes between two and half and three hours. If you prefer to take the train, it takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to go to JR Shirahama Station from JR Wakayama Station with the Super Express Kuroshio train.
- Q22.How do I get to Osaka?
- A. From JR Wakayama Station, you can get to JR Osaka Station in about an hour and 20 minutes on the Kishuji Express train. If you take the special express, it takes about 1 hour to get to JR Shin-Osaka Station. If you prefer to use the Nankai Line, it takes about 1 hour from Nankai Wakayamashi Station to the terminus at Nanba.
- Q23.How do I get to Kyoto?
- A. There are several special express trains direct to Kyoto each day. Use the Super Kuroshio or the Ocean Arrow from JR Wakayama Station.
- Q24.How do I get to Tokyo?
- A. We recommend that you fly. If you are going in the direction of Shirahama, you can use Nanki Shirahama Airport and if you are going in the direction of Osaka, you can use Kansai International Airport. Both of these have flights to Tokyo International (Haneda) Airport.
- Q25.What local sightseeing spots do you recommend?
- A. Porto Europe, Kuroshio Market, Wakayama Castle, Kimiidera Temple, Kishu Toshogu, Kataonami Beach are all about 20 minutes by taxi. There is a seaside promenade in front of the hotel which we recommend for a morning or evening stroll.
- Q26.Do you have staff who speak foreign languages (English)?
- A. I'm afraid there are no experts but we do have some staff who can speak a little English.
